Hi Donna,

Thanks for your comment. You can teach your cockapoos to walk nicely without pulling by taking a positive reinforcement basic manners/obedience class. I'm not sure where you're located but in the SF Bay Area, more training facilities and shelters are offering workshops to address specific behaviors such as pulling on leash. You can also book a consultation with a private positive trainer to train your dogs one-on-one to walk on a loose leash. As an immediate intervention to reduce pulling, get a front-clip anti-pull harness such as the Sense-ation or Sense-Ible Harness made by Premier. The leash clips to a ring on the dog's chest instead of the dog's back.

Hope this helps.

How can I control my 2 cockapoos. They like to walk daily on leashed but have started w/ bad behavior. The pulling is the biggest!! At first it was just in the beginning of the walk but now it's the whole walk, never stopping!! What can I do about this?

Great post. My personal favorite is Fort Funston. You can find all of these places (and more) on Fido Factor and if you add your reviews we'll make a donation to the SF SPCA!
